Dinosaur of Rock

A newly discovered prehistoric animal has been named after Mick Jagger, lead singer of the Rolling Stones and a true dinosaur of the rock world. The fossil was discovered in Egypt and has been called Jaggermeryx naida meaning “Jagger’s Water nymph”. Scientists who unearthed this prehistoric animal, which was the size of a small deer and resembled a slim hippo, noticed its large lips – hence the name. Jaggermeryx would have lived 19 million years ago, long after the dinosaurs had died out.
