Doctor Who and the Dinosaurs
Published: 22nd Aug 2014
In the first of a new series of Doctor Who that features the new incarnation of the Doctor, played by Peter Capaldi, we first see the Tardis crash-landed in Parliament Square, London. The twelfth Doctor and his assistant, Jemma Coleman, emerge to find piles of Dinosaur bones and dinosaurs on the loose in London.
It’s a fitting scenario pitting the new Doctor against the dinosaurs and one that references a much earlier Doctor Who series when in 1973 John Pertwee who played the third Doctor also came up against an invasion of the dinosaurs. One the dinosaurs used in that first series is on display in the Dinosaur Museum. The new series of Doctor Who starts on Saturday 23rd August on the BBC.
